Their first single was 'Ne Ne Na Na Na Na Nu Nu' released 01/03/80. Reached Number 28 in the UK charts spending 14 weeks in the charts. They are 263rd out of the top 500 bands of all time up to Jan 1993 based on single sales

A Blue Beat White Label released December 1988. This single was not available on general release. It was given away as part of the Christmas edition of their fanzine and only 1000 copies were ever pressed. Sally Brown was written by the legendary godfather of Ska Laurel Aitken. His musical releases have spanned 5 decades. The single was released in 1985 on Gaz's Rockin' Records/UK. (Laurel has only once appeared in the UK singles charts. With the 2nd generation of Ska brought a renewed interest in the 1st generation of Ska and his only chart entry was with Rudi Got Married which reached number 60 in the UK singles charts and spent 3 weeks on the chart. Bad Manners' first single release reached number 28 in the UK charts and stayed in the charts for 14 weeks. Released 1st March 1980. Catalogue Number MAG 164.

Bad Manners' second single release. Reached number 15 in the UK charts, despite being one of the most memorable songs, with one of the most memorable introductions of the genre. It spent 14 weeks in the charts. Released 14th June 1980. Catalogue Number MAG 175.

Reached number 21 in the UK charts and stayed in the charts for 12 weeks. Catalogue Number MAG 181. This single marked the end of a very successful year for Bad Manners. They had 4 hit singles each of which was still in the charts when it's follow up was released. The 4 singles in total spent 53 weeks in the charts.

 

Skinhead Love Affair

Appeared as a B side on a 12" single released October 1989 entitled Christmas Time Again. Catalogue Number BBSP010. The single failed to chart. It is available as an album track on many compilations and appears on an import only CD entitled Fat Sounds, which is one of the few modern Bad Manners CDs to contain mostly previously unreleased tracks.

Bad Manners covered this version of Millie Small's My Boy Lollipop, changing the title to My Girl Lollipop. For Bad Manners it reached number 9 in the UK charts following its release on 31/07/82 and it spent 7 weeks on the chart. Catalogue number MAG 232.
Millie Small stunned the music business by reaching number 2 in the U.K. with 'My Boy Lollipop' following its release on 12th March 1964. (Catalogue number TF449) This single is frequently credit with bringing 'Ska' into the UK mainstream, although at the time, was considered by many as a novelty pop song. It was re-issued on 25/07/87, this time only reaching 46 in the UK charts (Catalogue Number WIP 6574)
